Focus and Scope

Andean Geology publishes high-quality, peer reviewed research and review articles on geology and related sciences. The journal welcomes contributions from a wide range of Earth Science-related disciplines, in Spanish or English, with a focus on South America, Central America, and Antarctica, and particularly the Andes.

The journal is interested in publishing thematic sets of papers and accepts articles dealing with systematic Paleontology only if their main focus is the chronostratigraphical, paleoecological and/or paleogeographical importance of the taxa described therein. Descriptions of new species or genera and, only if necessary, complementary descriptions of already known species are acceptable. The already known species mentioned in the article can also be illustrated.
